Wael Zaoud

Boeing Managing Director in Qatar

Wael Zaoud was appointed as Boeing managing director in Qatar in August 2024, overseeing government and stakeholder relations, community engagement, and various corporate activities.

With a strong emphasis on fostering partnerships, Zaoud leads Boeing Aerospace Doha LLC, a newly established entity in Qatar dedicated to local talent development, startup support, research and development, innovation, and sustainability initiatives.

Additionally, Zaoud represents Boeing at the American Chamber of Commerce and other organizations in Qatar.

Having dedicated 24 years to Boeing, Wael Zaoud previously served as a senior manager of business development at Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) in Doha from 2011 to 2024. In this role, he successfully led sales campaigns for Boeing defense products and services in Qatar and Kuwait. Prior to his tenure in Qatar, Zaoud contributed to BDS business development in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from 2005 to 2011. He joined Boeing in the United States in 2000, where he worked as an engineer for satellite systems and the C-17 program.

Before his time at Boeing, Zaoud began his career at The Document Company, Xerox, in 1998.

Wael Zaoud holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from California State University of Long Beach and an MBA in Business Administration. Fluent in both English and Arabic, he brings a bilingual advantage to his role.
