Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and proudly hosted and organized by the Qatar Armed Forces, the flagship event will bring together key decision makers across the globe to engage in three days of commercial exchange, maritime showcases and expert panel discussions.

DIMDEX 2022 is a key international platform for Boeing to highlight both the present and future capabilities of its diverse product portfolio that supports the region’s needs. Products highlighted will include the F-15, KC-46, T-7 advanced pilot training system, CH-47 Chinook, Airborne Early Warning & Control, Air Power Teaming System, and unmanned systems like the Integrator and ScanEagle.

“Boeing is committed to continuing its nearly two-decade partnership with Qatar. DIMDEX provides an important opportunity for Boeing to demonstrate that focus by highlighting our latest technology, especially as it relates to defense and security,” said Kuljit Ghata-Aura, president of Boeing Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

Boeing continues to work with regional governments to ensure future advancements in their defense and services capabilities.

“We look forward to connecting with our Qatari customers and industry partners at DIMDEX 2022 and showcasing Boeing’s capabilities, technologies and innovation from our defense and services businesses,” said Rick Lemaster, vice president International Business Development, Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and Israel.

Boeing reported in its 2021 fourth quarter results that Defense Space & Security (BDS) backlog now stands at $60 billion with 33% of that coming from outside the United States. The 2022 Boeing Market Outlook also projects the defense and space market opportunity will remain consistent with last year's forecast at $2.6 trillion throughout the next decade. This spending projection continues to reflect the ongoing importance of military aircraft, autonomous systems, satellites, spacecraft and other products for national and international defense, with 40% of expenditures expected to originate outside of the United States.

Boeing Global Services (BGS) Market outlook summary; Boeing expects the market for support and services to be worth $3.2 trillion in the 10-year period between 2021 and 2030.  However, regional COVID-19 case growth and new variants may continue to bring volatility to the market. Commercial services represent $1.7 trillion of the forecast and include the services to support the growing business and general aviation markets. Government services are forecasted to be worth $1.5 trillion. The Middle East represents $200B of the combined services market. The support and services for Commercial and Government are diverse in terms of sales, activity scope, capital intensity, and competitive environment.
