Boeing and Amideast launch a Career Skills Development program in Kuwait
Kuwait, Kuwait City, February 13, 2023 - Boeing and Amideast have reinforced their commitment to Kuwait by contributing to the implementation of the Kuwait National Development Plan with a new program “Empowerment Through Career Skills Development” with a focus on upskilling for women. The participants will attend training courses at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET).
“We are proud to support the “Empowerment Through Career Skills Development” program of Amideast in Kuwait for the fifth consecutive year. We believe the program gives an important stimulus for the Kuwaiti community, especially women, to make the next step in their career, take up a leadership role or launch a start-up business. Women remain significantly under-represented in most fields in aerospace, although a lot of progress has been made during the past few years. Programs like this inspire women to pursue competitive knowledge-heavy careers and open new opportunities for them by helping to develop the necessary skill set,” said Kuljit Ghata- Aura, President, Boeing, Middle East, Türkiye and Africa.
60 participants, predominantly women from the public sector in Kuwait, will take part in the “Empowerment Through Career Skills Development” program in 2023. They will further enhance their professional and workplace competencies. The program is designed to provide participants with the training necessary to upgrade their professional skills, enhance their current job performance, and succeed in their future career aspirations.
